Hi, I'm having real trouble getting surround sound to work with my fire stick. Plagiarism checker online. My Samsung TV has an optical digital out, but doesn't allow me to pass Dolby digital out of it to my surround amp. As a workaround, I bought an HDMI audio splitter off Amazon (this one: ) which says it allows 5.1 digital pass-through. However, no matter what video I play through either Prime video or the Netflix app, I only get 2.0 sound out. If I connect my Sky box through the same HDMI audio splitter and change the settings to 'Dolby D over HDMI', my amp lights up as detecting Dolby Digital, suggesting the splitter is not the problem.
